The ending

The end:

He climbed out of the hole, glistening in mud. He really was beautiful. We admired him. We exhaled smoke again, slowly this time. Thoughtful.

“So, I will be killed, now?” Alec asked us. After a long time, everything was quiet and none of us responded. To be honest, I kind of regretted of having an idea to kill Alec. I was thinking if it was too crazy and cruel to kill such a beautiful man who spent a wonderful time with me at least. I raised my head to see reactions of Caroline, Anje, Tiffany and Marlena. They all lower their heads as if they did something shameful. “Alec! Where is Alec?” I shouted because I could not find Alec. “Bang” I felt a bullet coming across my body. I turned my head back in a huge pain, seeing Alec holding a gun. And then, after four quick shots, I saw Caroline, Anje, Tiffany and Marlena fell down with an astonished face. Before I lost my consciousness, I saw Alec smiled strangely.

Reasons:

Firstly, in your stories, when Alec was informed he would be killed, he did nothing to resist or escape. I thought it was too weird and there must be some reasons behind. Therefore, I considered that Alec pretend to be weak at first on purpose in order to kill all the women in the end. Secondly, I could not feel women’s strong hatred towards Alex in your stories. Even in the latter part, women recalled fond memories spending with Alex and said “we love you” to Alec. I thought they were hesitating whether to kill Alec or not. This ending not only makes the behaviors of Alec and five women reasonable, but also successfully has a surprising effect.
